Invitation to Friendly Forum with Hon Louise Upston MP - 14 August in Tokoroa

Louise Upston from Louise Upston MP

I’m inviting you to a Friendly Forum and seeking your views

It is a privilege to represent you in Parliament, and as your local MP I am always keen to hear your views and ideas.

As you may know I regularly host Friendly Forums in Tokoroa and other parts of the electorate. This provides me with an opportunity to meet with you face to face, to hear your thoughts and concerns, and to share information on matters of interest. Following the recent restrictions of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, I am particularly keen to catch up with you and to hear how you have been faring during these extraordinary and difficult times.

I would like to personally invite you to my next forum in Tokoroa.

Date: Friday 14 August 2020
Time: 10.00am – 11.30am
Venue: Te Rakaunui Room, Community Link, 8 - 10 Torphin Crescent, Tokoroa
RSVP: Angie Hendricks on (07) 886 5554 or upston.sthwaikato@parliament.govt.nz

Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, the venue only allows a maximum of 15 attendees so RSVPs are essential to avoid disappointment.

I have also enclosed a survey for you to complete and return so that I can better understand what is important to you, and can best represent you in Parliament. Your opinions are important to me.

I hope you can make it along to the Friendly Forum and look forward to seeing you.

Sincerely

Louise Upston
Member of Parliament for Taupō

Emma’s wedding dress reveal tells a different love story

The Team from Patrick Hogan Village

A Valentine’s-inspired wedding dress show at Ryman Healthcare’s Logan Campbell Village is providing the perfect opportunity for residents to share memories of their romantic day.

But for Emma Muller, it has also turned into an opportunity to celebrate her late daughter Nicola, who died 19 years ago at the age of 37.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
