WATER OUTAGE – BELL ST & BOAR BUSH GULLY RD, FEATHERSTON
As we have been working to restore water supply at a few key properties in the network, we have experienced two mains breaks, one at Boar Bush Gully Road affecting 3 properties and another on Bell Street, affecting 30 properties.
Crews are onsite at both locations and are hoping to restore water as soon as possible. Estimated time for repair at Bell St is 3 hours. We have relocated the static tanker from Fox Street to Bell Street, which will be in place until 8pm. Boar Bush Gully Road has not yet got an estimated time of repair.
Bringing the network back online can introduce extra stress on the pipes. We manage the pressure carefully to minimise this risk, but unfortunately breaks and burst can still occur where pipes are particularly weak.
