End of autumn market

Marty Sebire from Carterton Farmers' Market

Carterton Farmers Market is open again this Sunday under the verandahs of Flair Flooring and The Olive Branch, opposite Memorial Square. It's the last week of autumn. From next week, we switch to alternate weeks. We'll be open every 2nd and 4th week in June, July, and August. You can pick up a flier from our stalls with the winter hours to put on your fridge as a reminder.

Stalls at the market this week include:

Locavore Farm - With it now being the end of autumn, Locavore has persimmons, granny smiths, and feijoas for sale. A stall special for the week is green capsicums - one for $1 or two for $1.50. At the end of the season Audrey cuts them in half, takes out the seeds, and freezes them ready to add to stir-fries and curries over winter.

Other produce for sale includes broccoflower, carrots, elephant garlic, kale, kamokamo, lettuce, pak choi, parsnip, radishes, rocket, silverbeet, swedes, and the last of summer’s eggplants.

Greytown Gold - Julie has capers at $5 for a 100g punnet, as well as her Greytown Gold virgin olive oil, roasted hazelnuts, dukkah, dried and fresh feijoas, and rhubarb. She also has her hazelnuts in shell - $6 for 500g or $10 a kg.

Just Swimwear - Katherine Walker has locally made blankets and a variety of children’s winter clothing, including warm winter trousers for boys and girls, fun fleece tops, and warm hats. See her facebook page for more information.

Other stall holders are:

Adrianne’s Crafts
Garden for Life
Helen's Honey
Hensons Gardens
Jenny Abbott's Plants

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
