COVID-19 Alert Level 3 - Where can I travel?
Kia ora all, we've had a lot of questions through the Wairarapa Emergency Operations Centre about where people can travel within the "region" under Alert Level 3...and what the "region" actually is for Wairarapa!
The general rule of thumb is to keep it local as possible. The Wairarapa is part of the Greater Wellington "region" but you shouldn't travel further than you have to if you can avoid it.
That means you can travel to Wellington for work that cannot be done from home, or accessing essential services that you can't get locally. However, you shouldn't be travelling to Wellington to go to your favourite beach or for a change of scene.
