Simple Savoury Feijoa sauce/relish/dip
Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is safe and well in their bubbles.
For those of you that have access to Feijoa's, enjoy experimenting with food and/or are looking for some inspiration during lockdown - this post is for you :)
Ingredients:
5 large Feijoa's (descooped & lightly mashed)
1/2 a small onion (chopped )
2 tablespoons of oil
1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon of black mustard seeds (optional)
Instructions:
1. Add oil to a frying pan.
2. Add the chopped onion (& mustard seeds) into the pan
3. Saute the onions
4. Add the cumin to the pan
5. Add the mashed Feijoa's to the mixture and continue cooking for 3 minutes on a low heat.
This sauce/relish can be used in sandwiches, wraps or even with your main meal.
