FREE House and Garden tickets

Hannah Cunningham from Volunteer Marlborough

NZ House and Garden fans will want to check out this opportunity! Volunteer for one day (either Friday 13th or Saturday 14th of March) and attend the other for FREE!

Interested? Call 03-577-9388, email vm@volunteermarlborough.org.nz, or apply online at marl.volunteermatch.org.nz...

More info:
We’re currently looking for volunteers to help with the tours. Volunteers will be stationed at each of the houses (from 8:30am - 4pm) helping with security, car parking, and managing the flow of people visiting.
The tour gives people the opportunity to view 8 beautiful, handpicked homes and gardens.
As a thank you for your time and assistance, you’ll be provided with a copy of the latest NZ House & Garden magazine, and a ticket to visit the rest of the houses on the tour. Volunteers will receive a free full day ticket (on the other day of the tour in Blenheim).
Volunteers must be over 18 years of age.
As the charity partner of the event, the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ receives $220,000 in cash and free advertising, this goes a long way to help Kiwis affected by breast cancer.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
