Fishing and a place to visit
Hi everybody. Pauline and I have quietly been developing our property at 304 Mangakahia road. Been a few changes so anyone interested we have over 30 different varieties of bananas and possibly the largest collection of Lotus plants in Northland these have just started to bloom. If you want to see them we are not officially open but hey bring a plant to plant and come for a wander. We also have 10 acres stocked with rainbow and brown trout if you like to fish. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
