FENCED, OFF-LEAD EXERCISE AREA FOR DOGS AT LAKE ON HOLD FOR NOW

Rudi from Hamilton Lake

HAMILTON LAKE - PROPOSED FENCED, OFF LEAD EXERCISE AREA FOR DOGS AT LAKE HAS BEEN PUT ON A SHORT LEASH AFTER COUNCIL VOTE AND LAKE CRESCENT RESIDENT'S PETITION.

There was agreement among Councillors that the process was shoddy and not inclusive of the opinions of the folks who live in Lake Crescent.
It is back to the drawing board and even maybe a total rethink of the most appropriate placing of the fenced exercise park for dogs in Hamilton.
There was even a feeling that future consultation methods may have to include an exercise in good old fashioned door-knocking to bring communities up to speed with Council proposals.
Thanks to the efforts of the residents who were resolute in confronting this issue.
