Waimakariri council's quake response acknowledged with international award
Efforts to regenerate parts of Waimakariri that were hit worst by the Canterbury earthquakes have led to the local council taking out an international planning award.
The Waimakariri District Council has been named the overall winner in the 2019 Commonwealth Association of Planners (CAP) Awards for its innovative approach to earthquake recovery planning.
