Further industrial action: APEX union Medical Imaging Technologists (MITs)
Industrial action will affect radiology services (X-ray, CT & MRI) in Nelson and Wairau Hospitals, including Emergency Departments, as follows:
• From 0701 Tuesday 29 October to 0700 Saturday 2 November
• From 0700 Monday 4 November to 0700 Tuesday 5 November (Nelson only)
Please note: Ultrasound services are unaffected.
Our contingency planning team has worked hard to minimise the potential effects of the strike on patient care, prioritising the continuation of emergency and urgent services during the strike.
All non-urgent X-rays and scans will be deferred to a future date. Patients may call 0800 733 372 to check the status of their appointment.
