For those who have a strong opinion one way or another, here is your chance to have your say on the proposed lights at Hagley Oval.
Consultations open now till 18 Nov 2019. All details are on council website. There is also a chance to talk to the team and find out exactly where each lighting tower is proposed to go and ask the team any questions you might have. [4th Nov, 6.30 pm]
[My note: 18 Nov is the day after a 3-day long show weekend. Therefore, please put your submissions in before the show weekend.]

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
