What's on: Good with Money - 15 October - Grey Lynn
Money. Something that surrounds us all day, every day yet remains a sensitive subject in our society.
Do we really understand it? Is it good or evil? What should we do with our savings? How can we build a healthy relationship with it?
Join Conscious Action alongside Flick Electric Co. and Good magazine as we host a conversation about the evolution of money until now, a future of digital currencies, impact investing and how to grow your money and how the way we live is shaped by our relationship to money.
Our two very knowledgeable and interesting guest speakers are John Berry, who manages an ethical investment KiwiSaver and Andrew Gillick, who researches and writes about digital assets, blockchain and the future economy.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
60% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.7% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.3% ... It is complicated
