Volunteer Driver Mentors Needed

Amie Maga from Migrant Action Trust

From the countryside of Burma to Open Road in New Zealand: For Thdah, a restricted licence means she can apply for more jobs. She can easily drop her kids to school and she is less worried about needing to rush to clinic/hospital especially with one sickly child. Despite the language barrier and being scared to drive in busy roads, Thdah gained confidence to drive with the support of qualified instructor Susan Matencio and volunteer interpreter who supported her during driving lessons.

If you already got 2 years NZ full licence and keen to help learners from refugee background in our OPEN ROAD Refugee Driver Training Programme, join our team of volunteer mentors and support persons for test day! Come along to our next session 5 OCTOBER on DRIVING TEST TIPS and NZ ROAD CODE REFRESHER www.facebook.com...

Poll: Should you ask before planting tall shrubs/trees near your property line?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It may be fine now but in a few years trees can block out light or views for neighbours.

Do you think neighbours should ask before they go ahead and plant these?

After School Care/Nanny/Babysitting

Uma from Westmere

Hi, My name is Uma. I live in Westmere. I'm currently working as a casual ECE relieving teacher in different childcare centres in the day time. I have experience working with children since 2015. I'm available to help/look after your kids in the afternoon as after school care, nanny, evening babysitting, morning school drop off or anything in the weekends.

I have my own car and full driver's license. Please contact me on 022 5854561 or email (umakumar@y7mail.com), or message me in this Neighbourly app.

This year during Term 1 and Term 2 school I have done a After School Care job (looking after 2 kids from Westmere Kindergarten & Westmere School). Now I'm available to work anytime during this Term 3 & Term 4 School.
