NORTH CANTERBURY MODEL RAILWAY CLUB Inc.
The North Canterbury Model Railway Club Inc. meets on Thursday nights from 7 pm, Wednesday afternoons from 1 pm, and Saturday mornings from 10 am. We have a junior section with their own room and layout. There are opportunities for young children from 8 years to 14 years to join our club and take part in building and operating model railway at our club rooms at 13 Blake street Rangiora. New adult members are also welcome to join. You do not have to own a model railway to be a member of our club as we have it all under one roof. We have a large H O layout under construction, a 0 0 layout, also under construction, an N gauge layout also under construction, and a juniors HO layout. We also have a Thomas and Friends layout for young children to operate during the Rangiora Sunday Market and on Saturday mornings. We are also very active in helping children build model railway dioramas. You can learn a lot of new skills with model railway.
Come on down when we are open and see what the hobby is about. for further information call Arthur on 03 745 91 48, Rangiora

Poll: Would you take a 1.5-hour hike for a shop? 🌿🐦
Canterbury, you have a hidden treasure right on your doorstep ... though it does come with a 1.5-hour walk up the stunning Rakaia Gorge Walkway.
Along the trail you’ll find The Fantail Shop showcasing small artworks by local artisans. Even better, every purchase supports the Fantail Trust, helping protect and restore biodiversity on the north bank of the gorge.
So we’re curious: would you take a 1.5-hour hike for a shop? (And for local biodiversity, of course 🌿)
-
31.5% Yes!
-
68.5% No thank you.
