Owairaka School Fundraising Auction

The date is looming - 13th September! Come along and support our wonderful Garden to Table program, our kids grow, harvest and cook their own food. We have some amazing prizes up for grabs. Bachs stays, a night in a hotel, Instax Cameras, heaps of toys, signed sports memorabilia, loads of silent auction goodies and loads of experience vouchers.
Tickets only $15 (includes first drink and nibbles) Tickets available at school reception, 113 Richardson Rd, Mt Albert. Food and alcohol for purchase.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
