Housing Crisis

Zhaneya from Highbury - Westbrook

My partner and I are in urgent need of a 1-2 bedroom home. My partner and I are currently in emergency housing in feilding due to our house being sold. We both work fulltime but the past few weeks have been very hard so I have taken time off work untill we can find a place to call home. Partner is a wood processor and I am a manager at a local cleaning company. We have excellent references and can provide supporting documents. Has burnt a very big hole in our pockets travelling to longburn from feilding everyday for work so prefer palmerston north/longburn area please.
Thank you

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
