Newlands Community House
givealittle.co.nz...
Hi Neighbors - Newlands Community House has been operating for over 40 years, and this past year we struggled a lot with fundraising and missed out on quite a few grant applications. The house looks after members, supporting Independence with Dignity while they remain in their own homes for as long as possible. We also organise local activities for them to participate in and socialise so they are not on their own or alone. Some of the groups we have are Knitting, sewing, exercise classes, and they all come together on a Friday for a lunch prepared by some of our volunteers. We would really appreciate your support.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
