Heads up: New Scam!

It starts with a highly personalised email offering something valuable for a stupid price, like a Samsung smart phone for $1. You just have to click on a link to claim your ‘prize’.

But clicking it sends you down a rabbit hole of complex terms & conditions in difficult-to-read text that will lock you into credit card deductions that you will be deemed to have willingly signed up for. Forget getting refunds from the bank when you realise you have been swindled.

Never forget the First Rule of the Internet: IF IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS!!
