The Cockle Bay Residents and Ratepayers have just had their AGM and had Christine Fletcher as guest speaker. Christine was standing in for John Tamihere who had another engagement. A fantastic and enlightening address on the sad state of our council and how our Mayor is in total control and responsible for this situation.
With local body election coming up we all need to get involved , find out what is going on and be an informed voter. Yes I know to a lot this is boring and many may feel nothing we do can fix things but you are wrong.
We need change , we need a new team to sort out the mess our city is in.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
