Water quality.. Tamatea

Jo and Jarrod from Tamatea

How many people are willing to cancel and refuse to pay their proportion of the rates to do with water. My charge is $200 per annum. I am wanting to start the ball rolling and if we all do it, I am sure we will get action. I have finally had a gutsful. This morning my water is actually black, have done everything the council has asked of me. I have all my emails and paperwork over the past two and a half years, I have all the councils replies and pathetic responses, the excuses, you name it, I have it.

I am ready to go into battle with all and whoever I come across .

This is utter B&**SH@T from the Napier city council, and they have the gall to tell me my rates are rising this year by 6.4% this year, just after last year they rose from $1706 to $2050.

Join in and refuse to pay your water contribution on your rates bill everyone.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
