Burial or cremation?
In 1908 New Zealand's first cremation was carried out in Wellington. Since then we have seen a steady increase in its acceptance. But only over the last 20 years has it become more popular than burial.
Statistics tell us that 9/10 people who die in the next 10 years will opt for cremation.
For many people their choice to be cremated or buried comes down to a financial decision. It's important that your loved ones know what your wishes are.
