What do you think of today's transport announcement?

Virginia Fallon Reporter from Kapi-Mana News

A $6.4 billion plan to fix Wellington's traffic congestion problems has been announced.
The proposal, which will be subject to public consultation, includes about $2.2b for a rapid transit system from the Wellington Railway Station, through Newtown to the airport.
While the type of technology was not yet decided, there will be a second Mt Victoria Tunnel built.
We want to know what you think: How will it affect you? Are you happy for your regional rates to go toward the project?
Please let us know your opinion and remember to mark your post NFP if you don't want it used in print.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
