Gisborne Anzac Day - Dawn Service
The Gisborne Anzac Day Civic Service will be held at the Cenotaph on The Esplanade at 9.30am on Thursday 25 April.
The service will follow a parade lead by veterans and others. The parade will depart from Wi Pere Monument, Reads Quay at 9.20am and proceed over Gladstone Road Bridge to the Esplanade.
Participants are requested to wear their medals and remove headgear at the appropriate time during the ceremony. The Parade Marshall will be Staff Sergeant Lloyd Donnelly. The speaker at the service will be Lieutenant Colonel Syd Dewes, Army General StaffNZ Army. The Gisborne Highland Pipe Band will provide the music for the parade.
Any change of venue due to the weather will be provided on here on the Council's website.
