EV Roadshow to visit Geraldine (Saturday 13 April)
April 13, 2019 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Pop down to the Village Green on Saturday 13th April to check the EV vehicles making their way from Bluff to Cape Reinga on their annual pilgrimage to promote sustainability, particularly in transport. The BetterNZ Trust use funding from EECA and other supporters to provide opportunities for visitors to our short displays to try out an Electric Vehicle as well as have their questions answered.
After over-nighting in Fairlie, the roadshow will be in Geraldine from 10:30am until noon with cars on display as well as rides and information.
Timaru District Councillor Kerry Stevens (an EV owner) will attend face off against self-proclaimed petrol head, Wayne O’Donnell, Chair of the Geraldine Community Board to see if Wayne can be converted to electric power.
Come along and join in the fun while finding out more about EV transportation.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
