Seddon Water Treatment Plant Open Day

The Team from Marlborough District Council

You’re invited to join us in celebrating the opening of Seddon’s new Water Treatment Plant.

Work on the new treatment plant began in January 2018 and its completion is a major milestone for the people of Seddon and all of those who have been involved in the project.

The new plant will allow Seddon residents to drink straight from the tap – and will mean an end to having to boil their water!

So mark it on your calendar and come and have a look around between 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm on Friday 22 March – we’ll see you there.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
