A warm moist northwest flow spreads over the lower South Island during today (Monday), delivering rain with some heavy falls to southern Westland from tonight. An active front is then forecast to move over the lower South Island from the southwest during Tuesday evening, bringing another period of heavy rain to southern Westland and also the headwaters of the Otago lakes and rivers.
