Sunday 17th February
Hi neighbours!
From the outside (and sadly, sometimes for those on the inside too), church can look like a bunch of rules to follow. The idea that Christianity is a case of, 'Follow Jesus's rules for a ticket to a good life' is all kinds of wrong. It's about a relationship, about learning to walk through life with Jesus. Not to escape our current existence, but to learn to live in true freedom whatever our circumstances, because we walk with him. Freedom from anxiety, anger, guilt, shame, freedom to live fully.
This Sunday, we start a new series, 'Freedom: Only Jesus' based on the book of Galatians, found in the New Testament section of the Bible. We'd love for you to join us! The coffee, as always, is hot by 10.15am!
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
-
84.4% Yes

14.3% No
