Level Two water restrictions in place for Levin and Ōhau
Horowhenua District Council has announced Level Two water restrictions for residents connected to town water supplies in Levin and Ōhau, effective from Wednesday 13 February.
Level two water restrictions mean:
• Garden sprinklers and soak hoses must not be used at any time.
• Handheld hoses may only be used from 5am to 7am and from 7pm to 9pm on alternate days: houses with even street numbers on even dates; houses with odd street numbers on odd dates.
• Watering cans and buckets can be used on your odd/even dates at any time.
• Watering of public parks, gardens and reserves by bore water only.
• Hosing of paved areas is prohibited unless cleaning is required as a result of an accident, fire, health hazard or other emergencies.
