Renee fulfills her wish

Warren from Swanson

Renee fulfills her wish
Seeing a set of golf clubs in a church garage sale was stimulus for Renee to fulfill something in her bucket list. She often thought about playing golf but had not acted on her wish , until she saw these golf clubs and saw that Redwood Park Golf Club were offering lessons.
Renee joined a group of fellow golf learners for coaching at Redwood Park, and loved the approach where they started at the end with putting and finished at the start of the game, by learning how to use a driver.

“Matt, our golf coach, used very simple, easy to understand instructions and always acknowledged our progress ,” said Renee.

“After we finished our six week course, our group kept in touch and we played together each Sunday afternoon to support each other. The Club was marvellous, by providing a group tee off time on Sunday afternoon and they also provided a two month complimentary membership that allowed me to practice on the course”.

“Club members also invited me to join them, and asked what I would like to practice. This has helped me to build my confidence and meet other players. Playing golf has been great in improving my fitness. “says Renee.

If you have a similar wish like Renee, coaching clinics for adult learners begin at 9am on Sunday 10 February. The cost of $120 provides six, 1 hour lessons, taken by a PGA golf coach. It is followed by two months of membership at Redwood Park so you may build your confidence.

Redwood Park also has a junior programme taken by PGA golf coaches, with the term programme starting at 10am on Sunday 10th February. The cost is $120 per term.

Redwood Park Golf Club is at 13 Knox Rd, Swanson. To register your interest or to find out more information, please contact Redwood Park Golf Club , ph 09 8338253; manager@redwoodparkgolf.co.nz

Poll: Should you ask before planting tall shrubs/trees near your property line?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It may be fine now but in a few years trees can block out light or views for neighbours.

Do you think neighbours should ask before they go ahead and plant these?
