What is My Health myself

Gavin Hurnard from My Health Myself | Tōku Ora Whānau Ora

Hi all
My Health myself is the name we have given our self-management education programme, which used to be called the Stanford Living a Healthy Life Self-Management Programme. We changed it so that it wasn't so wordy. It is a course made up of six sessions, each two and a half hours long, held over six weeks. We provide information on a wide range of topics, but the social interaction and local knowledge that participants contribute are equally important. We aim to make the courses relaxed and fun, as well as relevant. The feedback we get is very positive; in fact, I might use some of the comments we have received as future posts, if I can't think of enough things to say :). Tomorrows post is "What is a long-term condition?"
Take care everyone
Gavin

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
