Just Say No to Single Use Plastic Bags from any Retailer (like your local diary)

Helen from Hillcrest

I've just bought 4 bottles of milk from my local dairy and was surprised when the shop owner became almost insistent that I take a plastic bag to carry them home. (Gosh, I thought...... I made it to the counter without a bag..... I reckon I can get them home without one too and if not, I'll use one of the reusable bags I have in my car.)

We need to strongly encourage retailers especially dairy owners to follow suit from the supermarkets and stop using single-use plastic bags. Please say NO if you are offered a bag and never ask for one. Instead, let them know they should not supply any single-use bags.

If we can manage a supermarket shop without single-use bags we must surely be able to manage when buying a bottle of milk and a loaf of bread.
