Delta Community Support Trust is most appreciative of Matthew’s offer to cycle around the South Island to raise awareness of food security issues among low income people.
Matthew regularly collects and provides canned food and other goods to Delta and other charities. This provides much needed support to people struggling to make ends meet. Delta is a Christian community development agency working in Richmond and surrounding suburbs. We use the food provided by Matthew to help feed people in need. We do this mainly through a Food Bank through which we distribute 1400 parcels a year, and a low cost community meal that provides 2800 two course dinners a year. The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
