Tauranga's notorious bar Bahama Hut shuts down

Hi neighbours,

Bahama Hut has been shut down. The bar failed to have an application to renew their liquor licence upheld, with it expiring on December 10.

The bar has featured for several years as being the country's second most notorious bar when it comes drinking related offences. To read more, click here.

Bahama Hut announced its closure via their Facebook page on December 12 with the words, "The Bahama Hut is now closed. We could sit here and explain how, why and who but at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter. We would like to thank you all for your business over the past 18 years."
