North Canterbury is set to host its first National Rose Show this weekend
The New Zealand Rose Society has been holding national shows for more than 50 years, but this year marks the first time it will be held in this region.
Show conveners Michael and Marion Brown, from Loburn, said this year's show, with the theme of Rose Magic, will be held at the Woodend Community Centre on November 23 to 25.
"There will be something for everyone; it will be an event that smells lovely and looks lovely," the organisers say.
