Waikato Police appealing for information
Waikato Police investigating the triple-fatal crash in Hamilton are appealing to the public for information to assist the investigation. Two women and a man died in the two-car crash shortly after midnight between Saturday and Sunday on Mangaharakeke Drive, just east of Grandview Road. Two other people were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"We're piecing together what occurred leading up to the crash, to establish exactly how this horrific tragedy happened," says Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson. If you have any information that could help Police, please contact Hamilton CIB on (07) 858 6200. Read more
Neighbour drags bodies from car after fatal collision with train
A neighbour has described the horrifying scene he came across when a train and car collided in Hamilton on Wednesday morning.
The man and his partner, who didn’t want to be named, live four houses back from the Peachgrove Rd rail crossing where the incident occurred at around 4.30am.
