North Canterbury memorial service and ride dedicated to New Zealand's WWI military horses
The sacrifices of New Zealand's military horses will be recognised one hundred years after the end of World War I.
The organiser of this year's Remember the War Horse Ride, Thereza Rosanowski, said it was the duty of New Zealanders to honour the military horses who lost their lives in the war.
The memorial service starts at 10.30am on November 11, Armistice Day, at Hayland Farm in Glentui, near the Mt Thomas Conservation Park.
