Timaru could become national leader in public transport
Timaru could become the first place in the country to trial a new, demand responsive, public transport service.
Environment Canterbury confirmed on Thursday it had contracted ride-sharing app provider Via to undertake a feasibility study into the development of a new service for Timaru which incorporates a bus service with an "on demand" approach - similar to rideshare app Uber. Read more.
