Poll: Should the speed limit around Kaikōura be dropped?

Jennifer Eder Reporter from Marlborough Express

Are you driving from Marlborough to Kaikōura this long Labour Day weekend? NZTA wants to drop speed limits on SH1 around Kaikōura to 80kmh permanently, and the Hundalee Hills could drop to 60kmh. Unnecessary, or smart move? Reply to tell us why.

SharpAs Tool Tips
I’ll be at today’s Marlborough Farmers' Market from 3–6pm — a great last chance to get your knives sharpened before a busy Christmas Day.
If you have knives, tools, or other items that need sharpening, come along to the special Farmers’ Market today.

Please note: aside from the statutory days, I’ll still be open.
Cheers,
Ron

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
