Help rebuild our hospice

Te Omanga Hospice

You may be wondering what's happening down the driveway at 136 Woburn Road. The photo below is taken from a very tall tree and shows the rebuild of our purpose built hospice is progressing well with the frame up and roof currently going on.

Thank you to Silbery Roofing who have donated the entire roof. We are extremely grateful and amazed by their generosity.

We still need to raise $2.5 million to complete the rebuild of our hospice. Please help by donating at teomanga.org.nz or you can text to donate. TXT REBUILD to 833 to donate $3 to Te Omanga Hospice. Every bit counts.

Thank you for your support.

Please note: Each text message regardless of message content, sent to the code 833 will automatically charge your mobile account $3. Please ask the bill payer or mobile account holder. Texts not included in any text bundle agreement.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
