Papanui High School Mosaics class Term 4
Are you a Magpie that likes collecting treasurers, such as beautiful old china, coloured glass, mirror, stone, beads, coins and much more? A combination of these items can be turned into a Mosaic masterpiece made by yourself. Come along to this fun class and learn how to Mosaic. No experience is required, just a desire to learn this craft. You will learn where to get/source goods from especially upcycling and repurposing. Everyone in the class is working on their own project. This class is being taught by Lynne Davison and is held at Papanui High School on a Tuesday night between 7-9 pm starting on 23 October for 6 weeks at a cost of $110. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
