FREE PAINTING DEMONSTRATION - SEE A MASTER IN ACTION

Alfred Memelink Artspace Gallery

Our feature artist, Alan Collins, will be demonstrating his watercolour painting skills at Artspace Gallery this afternoon. From 1.30pm, you can watch the master of watercolours at work and hear some of his many funny anecdotes experienced whilst painting outdoors. In between each painting stage, you can enjoy his exhibition which features over 40 new paintings featuring views of the Hutt Valley, Eastbourne Wellington and England. If you might be considering Alan to do a painting especially for you, this would be a great time to talk to him about what you have in mind. he'd be delighted to chat with you.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
