Timaru's newest Community Fruit and Vege Sharing Stand
The Gleniti Community Fruit and Vege Sharing Stand was officially launched in Timaru's Poplar St on Monday by neighbour Marise Mulcahy.
The initiative follows a similar set-up in Waimate where a produce stall was launched last month. Timaru neighbour is calling on residents to place fresh clean produce in the stall and for others to take it.
The project was about promoting healthy eating and community spirit, she said.
