2 YO Male Chihuahua Available for Adoption
Ricky is a big lovable goofball - he pursues everything with great enthusiasm, whether that's butting in to get pats and cuddles, leaping around the house, attacking his teddies, or tussling with a doggy playmate. He is a very affectionate dog, and will happily spend hours asleep on your lap or snuggled up to you.
Ricky is also a bit anxious, and due to past experiences, lacks trust in people. As a result he needs a calm and patient owner who is able to offer him a very structured environment and routine that he can depend on. Once trust is established, work will need to be done on his obedience and recall as he currently suffers from "teenage selective hearing", so we are looking for someone who will have the time to focus on him.
Ricky is great with other animals, but we will also consider rehoming him as an only dog as he is happy enough to spend time on his own. He is comfortable spending time outside, and would be a suitable dog for a full time worker who wants an indoor/outdoor dog - so long as you spend quality time with him in the evenings and weekends (please note, that like all chihuahuas he must be kept indoors at night!).
Ricky is 2 years old, and comes vaccinated, flea and worm treated, and desexed.
If you are interested in Ricky please go to the NZ Chihuahua Rescue website nzchihuahuarescue.co.nz...
download and fill in the adoption application form and return it to nzchihuahuarescue@gmail.com. Enquiries via Facebook, TradeMe, messages or email will not be considered. An adoption fee of $500 will apply.
