Major slip closing road
A main highway in the Bay of Plenty closed due to a large slip is due to be assessed on Monday morning.
The slip closed State Highway 2, that runs through the Waioeka Gorge to Gisborne, on Sunday afternoon.
The road will be checked on Monday morning, according to NZTA. Motorists can use State Highway 35 as an alternative route.

Some people with stable, long-term health conditions may be able to get prescriptions that last up to 12 months.
People with a 12 month prescription will still collect three months’ supply of medicine at a time, from the pharmacy.
