STOLEN SIGNAGE KARORI TUNNEL
Am seeking anyone who saw the "PLAY FREE TENNIS' sign besides the traffic lights outside Karori tunnel which was fixed to the fence. (see sign below). It has been stolen around 10am-4.30pm Sunday 3rd June. Were you in the area last Sunday (Queens Birthday weekend)? . The culprit removed the two tennis raquets before 2pm on Sunday then returned before 4.30pm the same day, Sunday to pick up the pieces then returned again before 1pm Monday to remove the main signage. This is not a vandal, vandals rarely return to clean up after themselves, this is a local person who has previously complained about signage on this fence to the Council before. Stealing our sign is illegal as it complied with WCC regulations and had a permit. We intend to inform the police, so anyone who saw the culprit we would appreciate your call. We already have some car dash cam footage from local drivers showing the sign half removed on that day. The sign costs our club money and now more money to replace. We need your help to inform this person that such action, taking the law into their own hands, will not be tolerated, is illegal and is theft of our property. You may also help by being vigilant to see where she has put our sign. Rubbish bins, skips ect. We would like it back. Thanks for your co-operation. Remember Karori Lawn Tennis is offering FREE TENNIS to all on Sundays and Wednesdays, come along for a game.
