Crummy weather? Keep off the roads
Looks like we’re in for some more heavy rain this evening. The flooding has eased from most of the areas in the city that were affected yesterday, but there is still a lot of surface flooding in some streets in Papamoa and the ground is saturated. So keep off the roads and stay snug at home if you can, and call us on 07 577 7000 if you spot any flooding/slips/trees down affecting local roads or properties.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
