Julia Batchelor-Smith will be speaking to us on gender imbalance in the upper echelons of law and business; keeping women in the workforce; and why gender diversity is important.

Julia is a Devonport local and on the Board of the Devonport Arts Festival Trust. Married to Chris with two young daughters, she works part-time as a lawyer with Minter Ellison and is the author of 'Balancing Work and Life: a Practical Guide for Lawyers' published by LexisNexis in 2015. Julia has written extensively on strategies to achieve work/life balance, gender diversity in the law, and the full spectrum of issues impacting the working parent. She is a sought-after speaker, having addressed local and central Government, Universities, legal associations, private corporations, and industry bodies.
