Red Cross Hazard App broken
A recent update of the Red Cross Hazard App, which some of us are using to receive alerts about earthquakes, tsunamis, violent weather etc., seems to have broken the app on Android. Some people, including me, have already reported it, and Red Cross seem to be aware of the issue and working to resolve it.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
