Free walnuts galore!
Take your own bag to Punarere Drive, SH 1 end. There is a large walnut tree in the planting on the footpath on the side of the road (south side, obviously). No parking but if you drop the kids off and go round the block, they'll have a bag full by the time you get back. I just did a walk round and they (the walnuts, not the kids) are everywhere. Go grab a bag!
