Damp: The battleground between landlords and tenants
"Preventing mould in a house is a dual obligation of the tenant and landlord.” Tenants should be heating and ventilating the house, as well as wiping away condensation to reduce the chance of mould developing. Landlords also need to ensure they’re providing a house that isn’t prone to mould. This includes fixing any issues that create mould and providing the means to heat and ventilate the house.
Shocking anti-Māori propaganda posted in mailboxes
I am a Māori and today I found some shocking anti-Māori propaganda which had been obviously hand delivered into my mailbox. It was a call to action and as the neice of the late Moana Jackson and Syd Jackson, two intelligent and educated Māori leaders I am appalled to think that someone in my Island Bay neighbourhood is helping to spread these hateful messages.
